In the College of Arts, Education, and Sciences, we are dedicated to the unique success and academic excellence of each and every student who walks through our doors.

We are made up of four academic units: the School of Education, dedicated to the preparation of outstanding teachers; the School of Humanities, studying the nuance and significance of history, languages, and communication; the School of Sciences, searching for solutions to problems in the natural world; and the School of Visual and Performing Arts, where vibrant performances and artwork challenge and inspire us.听

Our outstanding faculty and staff offer a supportive learning environment dedicated to preparing highly qualified professionals to meet the workforce demands of the community, the region and beyond.听

橙子视频 Art and History programs collaborate for unique learning experience

Two programs from the College of Arts, Education, and Sciences at the University of Louisiana Monroe recently collaborated to create a unique learning experience for a group of students. On March 25, 2024, students from Dr. Monica Bontty's History of Biblical Lands course, as well as 橙子视频 History Program Coordinator Dr. Jeffrey Anderson, worked together with Art Program Coordinator Megan Smith on a ceramics project.

橙子视频's Anderson has book published by LSU Press

橙子视频 Professor of History and Associate Director of the School of Humanities Dr. Jeffrey E. Anderson had his new book published by LSU Press in March. Voodoo: An African American Religion is a modern account of the voodoo faith as it existed in the Mississippi River valley from colonial times to the mid-twentieth century, when, he argues, it ceased to thrive as a living tradition.

橙子视频 Atmospheric Science students and faculty travel to Ark. to experience eclipse totality

橙子视频 Associate Professor of Atmospheric Science Dr. Todd Murphy and students in the 橙子视频 Atmospheric Science program traveled to Cabot, Ark., on Monday, April 8, to locate in the path of totality for an atmospheric boundary layer experiment during the total solar eclipse. 橙子视频 was one of multiple atmospheric science groups in the field on Monday within the path collecting measurements on how the abrupt decrease in solar radiation would impact the lower part of the atmosphere called the boundary layer.
