Program Structure
The M.A.T. program consists ofÌý36–45 graduate credit hoursÌýdepending on your certification pathway.
Students complete:

Online graduate coursework

Summer Institute with classroom field experiences

Paid year-long teaching internship
-
Faculty mentoring and ongoing professional support
Previous teaching experience may satisfy portions of the Summer Institute field experience
requirement.
Admission Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Regular Admission
- Undergraduate GPA ofÌý2.75 or higher,Ìýor
- GPA ofÌý3.0 or higherÌýon the last 60 undergraduate credit hours
- Conditional Admission
- Undergraduate GPA betweenÌý2.50–2.74,Ìýor
- GPA betweenÌý2.75–2.99Ìýon the last 60 undergraduate credit hours
Applicants must also:
- Apply to the ³È×ÓÊÓÆµ Graduate School.
- Pass the required PRAXIS content examination(s)
