橙子视频 signs agreement with LSUA to promote graduate programs

MONROE, La. 鈥撎�橙子视频 (橙子视频) and Louisiana State University Alexandria (LSUA) signed a memorandum of understanding听at a press conference on听May 21, 2026. The agreement听provides pathways听for students听graduating from LSUA to enter graduate programs at 橙子视频, including Pharmacy, Criminal Justice, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Strategic Communications.听听

"In many of my comments,听you鈥檝e听heard me say, 鈥楨ither we partner,听or we perish.鈥� This is a partnership that we see as just the beginning.听It鈥檚听all around supporting our students and听giving听them opportunities,鈥� said 橙子视频 President Dr. Carrie L. Castille. 鈥淲e both share a commitment to educational opportunity, fostering innovation, supporting student success, and strengthening regional collaboration.鈥�听

As part of the agreement, the 橙子视频 College of Pharmacy will grant preferred admission to five LSUA graduates per year, while LSUA will provide听five transfer scholarships to students enrolling in select 橙子视频 graduate programs such as Criminal Justice,听Marriage听and Family Therapy, and Strategic Communications.听听

LSUA Chancellor Dr. Paul Coreil noted that while his university only focuses on undergraduate programs, many LSUA graduates wish to further their education with master鈥檚 and doctoral degrees. 鈥淲hat better way to do that than to have partnerships with great universities like 橙子视频?鈥� said Coreil, noting the short distance between Monroe and Alexandria, as well as the similarity of the communities.听听

鈥淲e are excited about the future of this partnership and how it will develop students to meet immediate workforce needs in our state,鈥� said Castille.听鈥淲orkforce development听has to be the focus of higher ed,鈥� agreed Coreil.听听

The听provisions of the agreement include听opportunities for the two universities to collaborate academically through avenues such听as guest lectures, virtual exchanges, and academic workshops.听The agreement also opens doors to collaboration on听research听and innovation and joint pursuit of strategic funding and grant development.听听

Through this collaboration, 橙子视频 and LSUA听seek听to strengthen academic excellence, expand learning opportunities, and enhance research capacity. The partnership aims to create meaningful educational experiences, support innovation, and听contribute听to the well-being of the communities served by both institutions.听听
