MONROE, La. 鈥撎�University of Louisiana Monroe (橙子视频)听President Dr. Carrie L. Castille is proud to announce that 橙子视频 Director of University Police Tom Torregrossa has been appointed as President of the Louisiana Association of Chiefs of Police听(LACP). Torregrossa is the first 橙子视频 Director of University Police to serve as president of the LACP, marking a significant milestone for both 橙子视频 and University Police.听听

鈥淒irector Torregrossa鈥檚 appointment as President of the LACP is not only a recognition of his many years of service and leadership, but also a reflection of 橙子视频鈥檚 continued commitment to excellence, public service, and strong partnerships with law enforcement agencies across Louisiana,鈥� said Castille. 鈥淐ongratulations to Director Tom Torregrossa on his well-deserved honor and statewide leadership role.鈥�听

Director Torregrossa brings decades of law enforcement experience, leadership, and public service to this prestigious statewide role. Before joining 橙子视频, Torregrossa听served听the Monroe community for 36 years with the Monroe Police Department. In 2015, he was appointed Director of University Police at 橙子视频, where he has continued his commitment to protecting and serving the campus community.听听

Throughout his tenure at 橙子视频, Director Torregrossa has worked to strengthen campus safety while building relationships with students,听faculty, staff,听visitors,听and law听enforcement听professionals across Louisiana. In 2021, he was nominated as the听Director听of the Year by Campus听Safety听Magazine for his dedication to the safety and security of the entire 橙子视频 community.听听

As President of the Louisiana Association of Chiefs of Police, Director Torregrossa will work alongside the organization鈥檚 Executive Committee, Executive Board, and the Executive Director to help advance professional development, education, and law enforcement training throughout Louisiana.听听

Director Torregrossa鈥檚听commitment听to 橙子视频 extends well beyond his role in University Police. He and his wife Katie are familiar faces at events throughout campus and are enthusiastic supporters of 橙子视频 athletics.听In particular, they can almost always be found cheering on the 橙子视频 Warhawks softball team.听听
